San Diego and Five Friends!

It's so rejuvenating being with your best friends. I had an unforgetable time in
San Diego. It was more relaxing than anything.

We laughed, talked, shopped, biked (12 miles of the boardwalk), talked, ate, drank,
danced, talked, got pedicures/manicures, got massages, layed out on the beach, talked,
sat in the jacuzzi, and did I mention talked?

Wow...what a good time!

Easter~

I'm finally getting around to blogging our Easter day pictures! We had
a wonderful, full, day.
It all began early when Nathan came in and wanted to know if the Easter
bunny had been around. So he went in search of "goodies". He found his
goodies and Shelby got her goodies a day earlier, as she knows the little
secret about the bunny.
Then I got up and made cinnamon rolls, the Pillsbury kind (quick and easy)
and started boiling eggs for the infamous Easter eggs. After we had
fun accomplishing that, and by the way, we've been enjoying those eggs
several mornings this week at breakfast, we began getting ready for
church.
We went to 11:30 mass at Holy Name in Henderson. It was beautiful and
Father Shonis gave a wonderful Homily.
Then we, hungrily, all bailed out at Granny and Papa's house and enjoyed
a scrumptious lunch. Granny went through a lot of trouble making the
dessert. She had an egg mold that you could bake in and made, brownie
eggs, and then turned around and froze ice cream in the molds and to top
it off we all got to top our dessert eggs with all kinds of sprinkles and toppings.
Boy, we were stuffed, but satisfied.
After cleaning up and while the kids played Granny and I visited. Shelby had
fun drawing and Nathan played with his new Pirate ship and men.
Later, David and I took off to change into our running clothes. We're training,
somewhat, for the 5K Trifest race, this weekend. We ran 3.4 miles and only
stopped to catch our breath 3times. We'll see how we make out tomorrow.
Hope everyone else had a beautiful day too. The main reason of celebrating is
rejoicing, in the fact, that Jesus has risen!!!!!! Love to all!

She always sends us a care package for ALL holidays and everyone in our
family looks forward to receiving the package. The favorite item is, homemade,
frosted, sugar cookies. She also sends fun gifts relating to the holiday or season.
Thanks again, mom, we always look forward to the packages and appreciate you
sending them so much.

THIS and THAT

I finished posting a picture of the day I watched Hannah. I have several pictures
of her playing and one of my favorites of her jumping rope. She worked and worked
at it. Two things about this child she is very independent and very self assured.

I also caught Dad and Shelby doing some homework. Shelby is doing a lot of money
making and skill work.

I had a great time at Nathan's preschool's Easter Day. They made "Jesus Tombs" with
Grande Biscuits and marshmellows. It's a neat project. You put a marshmellow that
resembes Jesus wrapped up in a biscuit and when they come out of the oven the
marshmellow has evaporated into the biscuit (symbolic of Jesus rising from the dead
because the marshmellow disappears). It's really neat. We're going to make these
for Granny at our Easter Dinner on Sunday. Thanks Mrs. Woods for the great idea.
They also had an Easter egg hunt. It was fun, yet cool outside.

Happy Easter to Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hannah Broeker Visits Nathan and Shelby's Granny

I was thrilled to be able to watch Hannah Broeker again today. I had a hair
appointment so Granny watched her in the meantime. They enjoyed playing
outside her back yard. Hannah got to rake, play on the swing, ride in Nathan's
big, blue car and play with the bunny paddles. Sondra (Granny) couldn't get
over how good she was.
Now we're back at the house and getting ready to go play on the swings! It's
a beautfiul day here in Kentucky. It's suppose to reach 68 degrees or so today.
Perfect weather for playing outdoors!

National Scrapbooking Day was a Sucess!

Thanks to everyone who came to my very first, solo, National Scrapbooking Event.
The very first event I held, as a consultant, was with my entire team in Evansville.
I had 3 people. At this one I had 5!!!!!!

I know many of you wanted to come and were either on vacation, had prior committments
etc. but we missed you!!!! I hope you'll be able to attend my next event.

Thanks and a special "hats off" to my two, loyal, customers, Rose and Tammy who have made
both of my events. I really enjoyed catching up with them and enjoyed looking thru their
albums. They shared a wonderful family trip to St. Louis with each other and their families.
I enjoyed hearing all about (and seeing pictures of) the St. Louis City Museaum and now, plan on taking a trip, this summer with my family.
St. Louis is so rich in educational museams and places like, The Magic House (Jamie highly reccomends this place), for families to enjoy. A perfect place to
visit for living and experiencing life with your family....and then recording them in scrapbooks
for years of enjoyment and reflection.

I also want to thank friends Abbie and Jamie, who came from the Evansville area. They were
the first to arrive and the last to leave....and by golly....they were impressive. They managed
to complete pages and pages of memories. Abbie got caught up on Macie's album and Jamie
completed a complete 8x8 (or so) sized "family winter album".

Jamie brought her cricet (sp) machine and I fell in love with it. I'll have to put that on my list
of "things" I'd like to get. It spiced up my, vacation project, with all the fancy lettering I was able to include.

Very good friend, Valerie, from Henderson and daughter Anne attended as well. They worked
on and completed organzing photos that have been in envelopes for some time. They used the Creative Memories, Sort Boxes to help them with their goal. It was nice
to see how helpful Anne was to her mother. Anne showed some of her creative side by experimenting with some of the tools that I brought. I think she really enjoyed using the
journaling templates. I so enjoyed a "treasure" that Valerie brought and has been talking about. Her great, great grandmother, had completed a "scrapbook" that was dated in 1886. It was full of delightful poetry, letters, name cards, newspaper clippings etc. A true testament of the date and times. I was amazed at how well preserved it managed to stay in. Especially since
in those years they didn't have acid and lignin free paper, tape and glue. Thanks Valerie!!!!

I'm already looking forward to my next event and sharing more memories and fellowship with
you all, whom I am proud to call, not only customers but FRIENDS.

Shelby's 16th Birthday~Yikes!

Shelby's 16th birthday was on Saturday. She's growing way too fast! She wanted
her best friend, grandparents, Nathan, David and me to take her to Los Toribios
